These terms govern your use of the Cornerstone Portfolio service at cornerstoneportfolio.app and the content at viewcornerstone.com (together, the "service"), operated by Cornerstone Platform Inc. ("Cornerstone", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Cornerstone Portfolio lets homeowners build a verified portfolio of their property data. A portfolio combines data retrieved from public records and licensed data providers, documents you upload, and analytics we derive from both. You choose what to share and with whom.
viewcornerstone.com is an informational site describing the Cornerstone network for professionals, brokerages, and data providers. It does not provide the consumer service.
Identity and property verification are optional. You can use the service without verifying.
The service provides informational estimates. Market value, equity, cost of ownership, and similar analytics are estimates generated from available data, including automated valuation models (AVMs). They are not financial, legal, tax, investment, or insurance advice, and they are not an appraisal. They are not prepared by a licensed appraiser and do not satisfy any requirement for an appraisal. Estimates can differ materially from actual values, sale prices, or amounts owed. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision. Consult a licensed professional before making financial, legal, or real estate decisions.
Property data in your portfolio comes from public records and licensed data providers. We display the source of data where available, but we do not control these sources and do not guarantee that third-party data is accurate, complete, or current. Errors in public records and provider data will appear in the service until corrected at the source. You can flag data you believe is wrong, but correction may depend on the originating source.
You own the documents and data you upload. You grant Cornerstone a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, extract data from, display, and transmit your content, solely to provide and operate the service, including delivering it to recipients you designate. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to legal retention obligations and routine backup cycles.
We may use de-identified, aggregated data that does not identify you to operate and improve the service.
You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you upload.
Sharing happens only when you direct it. You choose the recipients and what they receive. You can stop future sharing at any time, but stopping a share does not retrieve copies a recipient already received. We are not responsible for how recipients use information you choose to share with them. Share only with people and organizations you trust.

Cornerstone owns the service, including its software, design, text, and trademarks. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your personal use in accordance with these terms. These terms do not transfer any Cornerstone intellectual property to you, and they do not transfer your content to us beyond the license in section 6.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
The service is currently provided to homeowners at no charge. If we introduce fees for any part of the service, we will give you advance notice and the choice to accept the fees or stop using the paid features before they apply.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service, with notice where practicable. On account closure, we will handle your personal information as described in the privacy policy.
Sections 4, 5, 6 (for the period content was hosted), 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 18 survive termination.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the data in it is accurate or complete.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cornerstone and its directors, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cornerstone's total liability arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and CAD $500.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You will indemnify Cornerstone against third-party claims arising from your violation of these terms or your unlawful use of the service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections of the jurisdiction where you reside.
Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.
Before starting a formal proceeding, contact us at legal@viewcornerstone.com and we will try to resolve the dispute informally.
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect. If you continue using the service after the changes take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, close your account before the effective date.
These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and Cornerstone about the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
